Dai Jones rode a double before a large crowd at the Llangeinor Hunt Steeplechases on Paul Miles's Lady Myfanwy (men's open) and Catherine Rhead's Bless Me Father (young horse maiden).

Dai took the lead four fences from the finish on the prolific mare Lady Myfanwy to withstand by half-a-length the challenge of the pacemaking Minsgill Mans and on Bless Me Father he had 25 lengths to spare over David Brace's Dockbridge.

Only two faced the starter in the ladies' open and Ingrid Shervington's Grey Kid, partnered by Jodie Hughes, made all to beat the Worcestershire invader Touch Closer, ridden by 'Phene' Banks, by 20 lengths.

Tom David notched-up his fifth winner of the season on his grandfather Rhys David's grey mare Tanmeya who outjumped her four rivals to win the members' race by twenty lengths from Its Danny Boy. Tom's younger brother Evan came in third on Merthyrmawr.

Dancing Credit, partnered by her owner Lucy Jones, won her third race on the bounce when coming home twelve lengths ahead of Passenger Omar after making most of the running in the confined.

And former leading National Hunt trainer John Edwards saw his What Of It land a gamble in the restricted.The six-year-old ex-Irish horse, ridden by his son Tom, 31,and trained by his daughter Sophie George, and backed from 7-1 to 5-2, took up the running approaching the penultimate fence to score by three lengths from the pacemaking favourite Burren Chieftain.

Dai Rees's Running Lord, at eleven the oldest horse in the aged maiden race, gave Tenby's John Mathias his 14th winner of the season
when accounting for the pacemaking Musique En Tete. Running Lord has overcome all sorts of niggling injuries and once caught his foot in a horse walker.

Alice Tudor,11,daughter of Judith Tudor the Hon.Secretary of the races,
rode her first winner on her 13-year-old pony Bugsy who took the 138cm
pony race. There were only two starters for 148cm open pony race and
Jordan Williams,11, riding Tommys Girl, beat his brother Robert,15, riding Oscar.
